Newport Police Arrest Sex Offender Listed on RIs Most Wanted

The following arrest was reported by the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Newport police arrested a 20-year-old convinced sex offender who was identified on the Rhode Island's Most Wanted list.  

Bishop Lombard, of Cranston, was arrested on Monday Oct. 28, 10:50 p.m. on a felony warrant for failing to notify Cranston Police of a change of address. Lombard was registered at the Harrington Hall Shelter in Cranston but had not been seen since Oct. 16.  

Lombard was charged with first degree child molestation in November 2008.

Newport police also arrested Lombard  in Newport in Feb. 2011 for failing to register as sex offender in the city.
