Your Guide: Newport Yachting Center Events

Smooth beats and crazy comedy are on the schedule this weekend at the Newport Yachting Center, as the Newport Waterfront Raggae Festival rolls into town on Saturday night, and comedian Jeff Dunham takes the stage Sunday night.

The fourth-annual Raggae Festival kicks off at 12:30 p.m. with Spiritual Rez and continues with Chuck Fenda, Bushman, and Anthony B before wrapping with Morgan Heritage at 8:30 p.m.

Smooth rhythms, Jamaican fare — including Red Stripe — and positive vibes are all part of the event.

Online tickets for the concert are $35 through Aug. 9, $45 day of show, or snag a 'Rocksteady Pass' for $75, which includes a day pass, access to a special limited-access deck with raised seating, complimentary cocktail and more.

For a pretty radical change of pace, check out Jeff Dunham and his menagerie of puppets on Sunday night starting at 7:30 p.m.
