Tender Care: 'Your Children Are Safe In Our Care'

Tender Care Learning Center issued the following statement Thursday after a 17-year-old was charged with second degree child molestation.

Tender Care Learning Center issued the following statement after a  17-year-old was arrested Tuesday on allegations that he sexually assaulted a 5-year-old.


"An incident occurred on the afternoon on the afternoon of Aug. 13, 2013.  We are sorry for the media leaked, Information out before we had an opportunity to inform everyone.

By now I am sure all of you have heard of the child abuse allegations at Tender Care Learning Center.  We are very grieved at the incident, as the protection, security and education of our students is our priority.  We want to take this time to let you know we are fully cooperating with the investigation of the incident with the authorities, and as such we are not able to discuss some details.  We will be very transparent in our dealings and actions as much as we can without compromising the investigation.

When the situation was brought to our attention, we took immediate action to have the alleged victim taken to the hospital to be evaluated, as we likewise handed to alleged suspect over to the police department. As I stated, this is a tragic and grievous situation, involving real people and real families, we are devastated than an allegation such as this would involve our Center. We at Tender Learning Child Care Center are committed to providing quality child care and educational services, and we want to reassure you that your children are safe in our care.  You are welcome to come to the Center to observe the care and treatment of your child at any time. 

For those parents who have chosen to keep your children with us, we appreciate and value your continued support of our Center, and for those parents who wish to enroll your children in other programs, we understand your decision and wish you and your family well. 

We understand this is a difficult time for many, and you may encounter people and media wishing to obtain a statement from you on this matter, please remember are dealing with lives of real people who are in real crisis.  Our prayers go out to all who are involved in this matter, we would ask you all to keep them in your prayers, and respect their privacy at this time."
