A wall at Salvation Cafe, located at 140 Broadway, was torn down Tuesday after officials closed the area, citing risk of building collapse. The wall was not structural.

On Tuesday afternoon, a person inside reportedly noticed pipes were rattling around, then a crack appeared on the outside wall. D'Ambra Construction was reportedly digging directly outside the restaurant. It is unclear whether the construction had anything to do with the building's structural issues. The incident remains under investigation.
