Music on the Point presents: Bach and Friends at Quarter 'Til

MUSIC ON THE POINT presents BACH AND FRIENDS AT QUARTER ’TIL at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, Washington and Willow Streets, Newport (GPS address nearest parking lot: 25 Willow Street)The programs run WEEKENDS (Saturday and Sunday) now through September 7 at:8:45 am, 11:45 am, 2:45 pm, 5:45 pm, 8:45 pm. (Quarter ’til 9, noon, 3, 6, and 9)

Weekend of July 19-20: Bach and Louis Vierne

Fifteen-minute concerts/mini-demonstrations with organ music of J. S. Bach and anothercomposer at each program, with a video monitor to see organist and organ mechanisms duringthe music. Admission 25 cents (put a quarter in the Quarter Till), or any amount you wish. The Quarter ’Til “till” benefits renovation of an American treasure, the 1894 Hook & Hastings pipe organ built in Boston and installed when the church building was new 120 years ago.
