ReplyWhat a sad commentary on a lack of responsible parenting. I also must point out that these "Police and Fire" news stories always read as if they are written by an eye witness who is mockingly spinning the events for effect but throwing in the obligatory "alleged" to appease the lawyers. Whatever, it's always entertaining.

ReplySpeaking as a civilian government employee who, along with many others at Naval Station Newport, are facing furloughs which will result in a TWENTY PERCENT MOTHER****ING reduction in pay I hope they cancel a whole lot more of unnecessary crap that the government does on a regular basis. The U.S. has been a global embarrassment ever since Bush II (Worst. President. Ever) was in office and it has only gotten worse.

ReplyOld Townie - excellent post! What I find surprising is DNCAM's ability to access a computer. There must be a computer lab at the ACI.

ReplyAnd, all I meant was despite your claim that everyone should abide by all 365, 72 didn't last year and 95 the year before and probably as many or more won't this year either. Don't insult the author for stating the facts Mr. knee jerk reactionary dude.

ReplyAmazing how we continue to perpetuate the myth of a supreme deity in light of our intellectual evolution. The level and display of "faith" is inherently infantile at best and superstitious at worst. It is incredible how resilient the fantasy of religion has proven to be despite contrary irrefutable evidence. I understand the utility - "salve of the masses" and all that but so transparently unsupportable.

ReplyThere is no way we pay our health care workers and police officers enough for putting up with (and taking care of) these people . . . no way.

Ralph, here's an interesting fact - the United States does not have an "official" language. These articles in the Police and Fire section of the Newport Patch are written rather exploitively and typically mention details that are superfluous at best and inflammatory at worst.
