Pell Bridge Run Road Closures
Certain areas, including the Pell Bridge, will be closed for part of Sunday.
The Newport area should be prepared for slight delays and traffic detours as a result of the Pell Bridge Run. The race begins at 6:30 a.m. and police will begin blocking off some roads as early as 4:30 a.m. No pedestrians other than registered athletes will be allowed on any part of the bridge. Jamestown From 4:30 to 7:30 a.m. East Shore Road will be closed between the intersection of Conanicus Avenue and the Rt. 138 on/off ramps. From 6:00 to 7:00 a.m. Conanicus Avenue will be closed at the intersection of East Shore Road through the on-ramp to Rt. 138 (Newport Pell Bridge).
