Housekeeper Busted For Stealing Nintendo System From Hotel Room
Police recover game system and games, then make another arrest for marijuana possession.
Shatera Richards, 22, of 35 Third St., Apt. 3, in Newport was arrested around 10 p.m. Monday on charges of larceny and violation of a no contact order. Police were called to the Wyndham Resort at 5 Washington St. after a family reported that a Nintendo DS Game System along with five games had gone missing from their room. Richards, a housekeeper at Wyndham, had cleaned the room and was traced by police to her Third Street apartment. Upon arrival, officers met David Hernandez, 30, also of 35 Third St. Hernandez works as a carpet tech. at Wyndham and was found to have a no-contact order against Richards.
