Tickets go on sale on Friday at noon
Most know him as Ron Swanson from NBC’s Parks and Recreation and most know her as Karen Walker from the hit TV sitcom Will and Grace. They will be the husband and wife team of Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally when they make their Rhode Island debut on August 30th at the Mattie Volkswagen Audi 13th annual Newport Summer Comedy Series at the Newport Yachting Center. Offerman is well known from his many television and movie appearances. He had a prominent role as Randy McGee on George Lopez, Gilmore Girls and HBO’s Deadwood. Nick has appeared in numerous films including 21 Jump Street, The Men Who Stare at Goats and Sin City. The 2013 Mattie Volkswagen Audi Newport Summer Comedy Series is proud to announce its first four shows for next summer, starring four of the biggest stars in stand-up comedy. The 2012 Newport Summer Comedy Series lineup of comedy performers has become even more impressive with the announcement of three new shows starring three hilarious comedians all making their Newport debuts. Seth Meyers, Jim Breuer and Bob Marley are all headed to the Newport Yachting Center. Seth Meyers appears on the Newport waterfront July 20th. Meyers is best known for his work as anchor of “Weekend Update” on NBC’s Emmy Award-winning, “Saturday Night Live” where he is also head writer. If you haven't caught a show at the Newport Summer Comedy Series this summer, this weekend is your chance to get a last laugh. "Blue Collar Comedy" funnyman Ron White will take the stage Sunday, Aug. 14. According to organizers, White's last two shows in Newport in 2007 and 2009 both sold out. This morning, they opened up additional courtyard passes for sale, which can be purchased only at the Newport Yachting Center box office. To find out more, go here.
