Aziz Ansari, stand-up comedian, writer and actor, kept the audience in hysterics on Friday's opening night of the 2011 Newport Summer Comedy Series at the Newport Yachting Center. Ansari stars as Tom Haverford in the the NBC production Parks and Recreation. The 28-year-old comedian has a down-to-earth, well rehearsed style and although his jokes about Internet porn, awkward bar moments, racism, and his ‘chubby, weird cousin’ Harris, are common subjects for stand-up, Ansari’s sarcastic yet fresh delivery style was well received by the audience, who couldn't stop laughing.
