Newport Customers Impacted by Cox Widespread Email Outage
Local Cox Communication customers report they are impacted by the large email outage.
Cox Communications has reported outages with their email system that impact customers in the Midwest and East Coast regions. Aquidneck Island customers report they have been impacted as part of the widespread issue. On the Middletown Patch Facebook page, Katie Waite said she has issues since Friday night. On Twitter, Kate Burt (@KateKhronicles) called the outage "exasperating." She said a similar situation happened a few years ago and after her account was restored, she found all her emails and folders were lost. The company said it is unable to provide an estimated time for recovery, but will work around the clock until service is restored.
