'It's My Party' a Dream Come True for Local Baker
Amanda Bryan has turned her lifelong passion of baking into Newport's newest treat shop.
At age eight, Newport resident Amanda Bryan got her first cookbook. By high school, she was advertising Amanda's Cookies in her local Pennsylvania newspaper and baking them to order. And on Tuesday, Oct. 19, Bryan opened the doors to her first retail bake shop, It's My Party, on William Street in Newport. With its bright pink walls, chic black accents and cheery decor, it's hard not to smile when walking in the door of It's My Party. A small seating area and shelves displaying photos and albums full of Bryan's work, books of inspiration and display pieces greet you as you enter the shop, followed by a table with coffee and tea service, and then the display case full of delectable treats.
