Representative Peter F. Martin

Rep. Martin represents District 75, which includes Newport.
He attended De La Salle Academy in Newport, received his bachelor's degree from Providence College, and obtained his M.B.A. from Bryant College. He also attended the Boston College School of Social Work from 1965-66.
Rep. Martin is a retired software application and product marketing consultant, but is also involved with real estate investing and Web site development.
In the past, he was part of the Newport Democratic City Committee, the City of Newport Planning Board, and the Aquidneck Island Planning Commission, among other bodies.
Martin has also been involved with the Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Old Colony & Newport Railway, the Broadway Improvement Organization and Friends of the Waterfront.
Martin serves on the House Committees on Judiciary, Municipal Government, Separation of Powers, Veterans' Affairs, Small Business, and Oversight.
