Rogers High School, home of the Vikings, is the public high school serving the residents of Newport. Its principal is Patti DiCenso.

It opened in its current location on Wickham Road in 1957. Students enroll in general, college prep or honors courses. Nine Advanced Placement classes are also offered to students in grades 10 to 12.

Three world language programs are available. Students may study Spanish or French for the full four years, or German for three years. In addition to a variety of English, math, science and social studies classes, Rogers High also offers options in music, JROTC and fine arts. Also on campus is the Newport Area Career and Technical Center, where students can gain vocational skills.
