In 2006 The Redwood's Children's Library opened at 10 Redwood Street. Nestled in the comfort of the spacious rooms of this Victorian house are the rooms set aside for the children of Redwood. The library has books for children ages one through ten. There is a story hour once a week and all children are invited to come whether members or not. There are crafts as well as book discussion groups for young readers. The library also hosts public events such as the Halloween and Christmas parties, which are huge favorites with the young ones. Magee the bear welcomes all the children as they enter, and wants to make them feel at home in this special place in Newport.
