The Newport Area Career and Technical Center, housed in Rogers High School, aims to prepare students for entry-level employment and post-secondary education. Its faculty and staff expect that students will acquire of a body of knowledge, communicate effectively, think critically and work both cooperatively and independently to solve problems. Students are also expected to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the rights and responsibilities necessary to learn, live and work in a culturally diverse and democratic society. Courses are offered in business apprenticeship, web page design, automotive technology, cosmetology and many other vocations.
