It is all in the quest to save the customer money. The questions are asked with saving time andRead More money in mind. You would be amazed how many times we have arrived at the scene even after asking these questions, only to find that the customer has not checked the other doors to see if they are open by some chance. We have even gone to a lock out at Narragansett beach and the customer had looked across from the drivers side saw that the door was locked but did not see that the window was down. We have all had those moments but when asked a direct question it makes us think and enough cases have solved the crisis simply by asking those seemingly stupid questions, and saved the customer time and money. And of course we have GPS. We also have the experience of customers in a time of panic and need who don't always have the exact address of where they actually are located. Confirming the address and asking for a few directions save both of us time, and a customer sitting outside a car waiting for someone to arrive can at times be a security risk. A few trivial questions can seem moronic to some, but time and cost savings to many. Along with the fact that we are already preparing to travel to the scene as we are talking on a cell phone and the questions don't delay the service but actually speed things up with our knowledge of the situation. And why does a locked out customer standing beside their car have to complain about a few questions.

It is also important to show that this person is already unhappy and most likely would not have beenRead More happy no matter who he called. From his first comments he is stating that the company is no good, yet he is also telling us all that his lockout was late at night by the time of his posting, and when he called "no one answered", BUT he also states he "Got a callback right after" now isn't that something to consider, along with "grumpy sounding", when at 1am it was actually "sleepy". We all have to sleep and we are not sitting beside the phone waiting for this "unhappy locked out person to call". BUT we did return the call "right after".
