I had some of my most treasured childhood memories at Fort Adams ~ learning its history on guided tours with my family and friends, school field trips, the music festivals or viewing the parade of ships or the yacht races from the expansive lawn. Evening cold supper picnics my mom would take us on while my dad worked late. We would play, swim, and just hang out enjoying the warm summer evenings. It has evolved a lot since then but I'm glad to see that the Fort was able to grow and flourish without destroying its amazing history, its unique landscape and architecture or loosing its historic presence, but instead used the addition of modernization and expansion to preserve and enable exploration of its hidden mysteries and wonders. Fort Adams has so much to offer. I am glad to see it survive and thrive for future generations!
