Colony House

Designed by architect Richard Munday and build between 1736 and 1739, the Colony House is the fourth oldest statehouse in the country that is still standing. Throughout the years, Colony House has served as a hospital, banquet hall and barracks. Today, the house is a museum and historical site maintained by the Newport Historical Society. Seasonal tours are provided and it is available for private events.
