The Chanler at Cliff Walk is a luxury, European-styled boutique hotel only steps from the beach and the Cliff Walk. The mansion was built in 1865 and in 2003 after an extensive renovation, the Chanler opened. It has twenty exquisitely appointed rooms with a choice of The Manor, Estate or Signature Rooms or The Ocean and Garden Villas. Seventeen of the rooms have ocean views and twelve have outdoor decks. The Chanler was recently featured on the Conde Nast Traveler Gold List 2010 as one of the best places to stay in the world. The Spiced Pear Restaurant serves contemporary American cuisine and is a nationally acclaimed restaurant. The views of the Atlantic Ocean from the dining room are breathtaking. Although jackets and ties are recommended for dinner dining, they aren't mandatory. During the winter months groups are able to use the entire mansion for meetings and events.
