9:30 a.m. Common Burial Ground  Gravesite Tribute to William Ellery (Farewell St.)

9:45 a.m.   Family Bicycle Parade to Washington Sq- starting at William Ellery Park by the Liberty Tree at the intersection of Farewell & Thames Street. (Meet at the Park at 9:30 to decorate your bike & join the parade!)

10 a.m.  Newport Community Band  - patriotic symphonic band concert in Washington Square – bring your blankets and lawn chairs 

10 a.m.  Abraham Lincoln & Newport”  Exhibit & Open House in the  O  Colony House and Newport Museum of History                 

10:30 a.m. Pie Eating contest beneath the Oliver Hazard Perry Statue

11:00 a.m.  Reading of the Declaration of Independence from the Old Colony House

11:15 a.m. Pie Eating Contest, sponsored by Newport this Week, continues!

12 p.m. Artillery Company of Newport Cannon Salute & Ringing of the Bells of Independence in Eisenhower Park in Washington Square.

12:30 p.m. Bring your own picnic or go out to lunch around Washington Square!
