Seven Newport Students Accepted into All-State Ensembles
Four student musicians from RHS and two from Thompson Middle School were were accepted into the Rhode Island Music Educator's All-State Ensembles.
Seven talented Newport public school students were accepted into the Rhode Island Music Educator’s All-State Ensembles.
The student musicians will participate in several rehearsals throughout the winter culminating in a performance of all groups on March 23 at Veteran’s Auditorium in Providence.
Thompson Middle School
• Owen Martin, grade 8 – Junior Orchestra• Mathilde Tash, grade 8 – Junior Treble Chorus
Rogers High School
• Pearl Emerson, grade 9 - Treble Chorus• Michael Garvey, grade 9 – Junior Orchestra
• Tyler Louie, grade 12 – Senior Orchestra
• Lexus Almon, grade 12 – Senior Women’s Chorus
