Rogers High School Graduates Class of 2012

113 Seniors crossed the stage Friday evening to receive their Diplomas as parents, friends, local dignitaries and their teachers watched with pride. Congrats, Vikings!

During his address to the 113 graduating Rogers High School seniors, alumni William Corcoran Esq. told how his 1947 Graduating Class adopted the "Viking" as the school's mascot.

"The newspaper called us the "Rogers Red Raiders." It sounded like a bunch of criminals. So we adopted the Viking because it sounded better and they were the ones who invented the Saturday night bath. They were a much cleaner bunch," said Corcoran to laughs from the audience.

The seniors were accepted to 87 different college acceptances, ranging all the way from Harvard University to University of California-Berkley.
