Cliff Walk Home Sells for $16 Million

Hopedene was the highest recorded residential sale in Rhode Island this year, the Providence Journal reports.

A Cliff Walk home sold for $16 million, Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty announced on Wednesday, the Providence Journal reported.

Hopedene, at 43 Cliff Ave., was the “highest recorded residential sale” this year in Rhode Island.

Luxist reported in 2008 that the home was owned by Palm Beach socialites Craig Millard, retired Prudential Preferred Properties Chairman, and his wife Michele.

The home was orginally listed at $22.5 million.

Hopedene is not the only recent major real estate sale in Newport.

Last November, Alex and Ani founder Carolyn Rafaelian announced that she bought Belcourt Mansion for more than $3 million.
