Readers' Choice: Nominate Your Favorite Bakery

Nominate your go-to place bakery in the comments; they may be voted a Readers' Choice later this summer.

If it's near and dear to your heart, Patch wants to know—tell us about the area's best bakery.

Nominate your favorite bakery in the comments below. Once you do, Patch will officially add them to the running for best of the best—and later this summer, they may beat out the competition to become the number one Readers' Choice.

We will take nominations through July 9; voting begins July 23.

The French Confection in Middletown. The owner/baker is a 3rd or 4th generation baker, from France, really knows his craft inside and out. Best croissants I've ever tasted, bar none! I could go on and on, you just have to try it! My favorite place to just hang out with friends, especially by the cozy fireplace. The owners (Xavier and Karen) are very friendly and know their frequent customers by name.

I second the nomination for The French Confection! Everything Xavier and Karen make is delicious and made with love.

The French Confection in Middletown. I am a Johnson and Wales student d ever since I had the introduction to baking and pastry class I had been looking for a real bakery that makes everything from scratch. Two months later and two months from when they opened I have been a very loyal customer as you can see from foodspotting: http://www.foodspotting.com/places/431813-french-confections-middletown/latest Although I am a culinary student I am an advent home baker, but what I do not have the space or proper equipment to make at home are danish and puff pastry dough. These just happen to be Xavier's specialties and the best croissants I have ever had.
