Trash Collection Delayed Due To Hurricane Irene

The Newport Public Services Department’s Clean City Program would like to alert Newport residents that there will be no trash collection on Monday, Aug. 29 due to the forecasted path of Hurricane Irene.

All trash, recycling and yard waste collection routes will be delayed by one day during the week of Aug. 29. Monday’s collections will take place on Tuesday, and so forth throughout the week, as if there was a Monday holiday.
