Howington, who has earned accolades here in Newport, is one of several candidates being considered for the job at the helm of Brunswick, Ohio.
The Plain Dealer reported that Howington said she spent many years in Ohio and she and her husband are interested in coming back to that area and she has family living there.
The job would be a pay cut for Howington, who earns about $140,000 per year here in Newport but would be settling for $100,000 in Brunswick is she is selected and accepts the offer.
