Hate Tax and Water Bills? At Least you Can Pay Them Online Now
City began accepting payments online as of April 16.
If paying a tax bill isn't bad enough, for generations, it meant schlepping over to City Hall with a checkbook the hope that there isn't a line or long wait.
Not anymore.
Effective Thursday, Newport residents can finally pay tax and water bills online.
Newport is now collecting tax and water payments through Vision Government Solutions' municipal bill payment service.
Click HERE, scroll down to Newport and click on either a water faucet or rotunda to get to the tax or water bill payment pages. You'll need your account number and PIN to log in. If you don't have one, call City Hall at 401-845-5401. The account number and PIN should be on correspondence from the city, so check there first.
