Former Newport City Manager Dismissed By Annapolis Mayor

Annapolis Mayor Mike Pantelides has asked City Manager Mike Mallinoff to step down. Mallinoff had served in the role since 2010 and as Newport City Manager from 1995 until 2002.

"Mr. Mallinoff has served the city and its citizens well,” the mayor said in a written statement.  “He leaves behind a legacy of bringing transparency to city government and its finances. I admire Mike and thank him for staying on to help the administration during the transition.”

In December, Mallinoff was named as a finalist to become town manager in Snowmass Village, CO, according to the town's website. In 2012, Mallinoff was a finalist to become city manager in Gaithersburg, MD, according to that city's website.
