Respected Newporter, Traffic Aide Don "Jitters" Roderick Dies
A lifelong Newporter and respected pillar of the community will be fondly missed.
A local figure and lifelong Newporter who served his community and brought smiles to many has died.
Don "Jitters" Roderick was a Newport Police Auxiliary in the 1960s and a longtime traffic aid for more than 20 years.
The Newport Police Department shared the news of his passing on their Facebook page Wednesday afternoon and comments immediately began appearing from people who said they were sad to hear of his passing and will miss him fondly.
