Newport Police Log: Warrant Arrest
The following is based on reports from the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Meredith A. Klassner, 34, of 4 Farewell St., Newport, was arrested around 9:15 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, for an active warrant for failure to appear in court.
Police were dispatched to Eisenhower Park for a report of a group of disorderly people drinking.
When they arrived, police did not find anyone drinking. However, officers knew of Klassner’s warrant.

Police confirmed the warrant and placed her under arrest.
