A 26-year-old woman from South Kingstown was arrested around 2 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, for a disturbing the peace charge.
Police were dispatched to the Newport Harbor Hotel for two rooms of disorderly people. Hotel security had asked 10 people to vacate the hotel for being loud.
When police checked the rooms, two women had not left.
According to reports, the woman said she refused to leave and was swearing at police.
After ignoring several requests to leave the hotel, the woman was arrested.
- Christopher S. Hazard, 39, of 122 Van Zandt Ave., Newport, was arrested around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, for an active warrant.
- David W. Powell, 25, of 85 Slater St., Pawtucket, was arrested around 1:18 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, for two active warrants for failure to appear in court.
