Newport Police Log: 7 Weekend Arrests
The following is based on reports from the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Friday
- James E. Williams, 19, of 217 Wood St., Bristol, was arrested around 1:20 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 14. for a domestic vandalism charge.
- Gerrald L. Braswell, 24, of Newport, was arrested around 7:55 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, for third-offense domestic simple assault and domestic vandalism.
- Justin M. Westley, 31, of 806 Wapping Rd., Portsmouth, was arrested around 3:28 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, for a receiving stolen goods charge.
- A 17-year-old Middletown girl was arrested around 5:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, for leaving the scene of a collision.
Saturday
- Michael V. Naso, 22, of 206 High Range Rd., Londondery, NH, was cited around 12:26 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, for a noise violation.
- Robert J. Silvia, 22, of 90 Girard Ave., Newport, was arrested around 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, for a simple assault charge.
- Jennifer Jarvis, 47, of 326 Coddington Highway, Middletown, was arrested around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, for a shoplifting charge.
