Newport Police Log: 5 Weekend Arrests
The following is based on reports from the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Friday
- John J. Delfino, 19, of 73 Galileo Ave., Providence, was cited on Friday, Aug. 17, for possession of marijuana, trespassing, and possession of alcohol by a minor charges.
- Heather E. Mcguire Newhouse, 43, of 504 Broadway, Newport, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 17, for a violating a protective order charge.
- Shannon L. Pereira, 24, of 102 Labin St., Providence, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 17, for a controlled substance conspiracy charge and two counts of drug possession.
Saturday
- Luis P. McDowell Jr., 34, of 15 Meeting St., Newport, was arrested on Saturday, Aug. 18, for a sexual offender address change violation.
- Hedy Burbick, 48, of 14 Dresser St., Newport, was arrested on Saturday, Aug. 18, for a DUI charge.
