Newport Police Log: 11 Weekend Arrests

The following is based on reports from the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday

  • Brittany Vasconcelos, 22, of 96 Woodlilly Lane, Tiverton, was arrested around 8:20 a.m. on Friday, March 1, for an active district warrant.
  • Timothy P. Dwyer, 50, of Portsmouth, was arrested around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 1, for violation of a no contact order, domestic threats, and domestic vandalism charges. Dwyer was arrested again around 10:19 a.m. that same day for a breaking and entering charge against the Newport Historical Preservation Society.
  • Amy L. Burton, 43, of Jamestown, was arrested around 1:04 p.m. on Friday, March 1, for a domestic simple assault charge.
  • Casey A. Quarry, 28, of 11 Murphy Circle, Middletown, was arrested around 3:23 a.m. on Friday, March 1, for an active district warrant.
  • Christopher J. Russell, 23, of 98 ½ Warner St., Newport, was arrested around 8:50 p.m. on Friday, March 1, for an active bench warrant.
  • Antonio A. Watts, 21, of 109 John St., Fall River, MA, was arrested around 9:45 a.m. on Friday, March 1, for a controlled substance conspiracy charge.

Saturday

  • Jill E. Magnus, 34, of 59 John Chafee Blvd., Newport, was arrested around 4:32 a.m.  on Saturday, March 2, for first-offense DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test charges.
  • Wayne D. Greenman, 49, of 58 Wealth Ave., Providence, was arrested around 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, for two drug manufacturing charges and three distribution of a controlled substance near a school charges. 
  • Candice M. Johnson, 40, of 15 Meeting St., Newport, was arrested around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, for an active district warrant.
  • Erin Criscitelli, 36, of 162 Grove St., Windsor Locks, CT, was arrested around 7:35 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, for simple assault and disorderly conduct charges.
  • Robert K. Brooks, 44, of 15 Meeting St., Newport, was arrested around 8:55 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, for an active district warrant.
