Man Smashes Thames Street Window

Resident followed the man down the street until police arrived.

Police charged Brendan John Benequisto, 31, of 15 Admiral St., Providence, with vandalism and resisting arrest March 16 for allegedly smashing a window to a Thames Street house.

Police said they were called by a resident of the house who said he was home when he heard what sounded like someone trying to force their way into the front door. When he got to the door, he noticed that the stained glass window in the door was broken.

The resident then opened the door and saw Benequisto on the front porch.
