5 Arrested on Felony Drug Charges at Festival Field

Arrests are reported by the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Five people were arrested Tuesday around 10:00 p.m. after the Newport Police Department SWAT team executed a search warrant at 152 Festival Field. Police said they found a “good amount” of cocaine spread out on the floor and hidden in the air conditioner.

Dockeem McCoy, 25, of 141 Third St. Apt. #141J, O’Shea Dupree, 20, of 147 Third St. Apt. #6H,  Antonio Watts, 22, of 109 John St. Apt #2N, Fall River, Miguel Perez, 25, of 46 Richter Apt. #1, Providence, and Dandre Russ, 22, 6 Paisley St., Pawtucket were all charged with felony drug possession

As police were searching Perez, he complained of neck pain, said police. The Middletown Fire Department responded and escorted him to the hospital. Police said in addition to the cocaine, they found hundreds of ripped baggies and digital scales.
