11 Alcohol Related Citations, Pot and Warrant Arrests

A 17-year-old Newport boy was arrested around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, for a first-offense possession of marijuana charge.

Police were patrolling Newport Heights when they witnessed a suspected drug deal at an SUV parked on Maple Avenue.

When police questioned the driver, reports said he allowed police to search them and the car.
During the search a bag of marijuana fell out of one of the passengers pockets.

William A. Morales, 22, of 2 Easton St., Providence, was also arrested during the incident for an active warrant.

• Nichole Canning Pitassi, 19, of 613 Mountain Dr., Destin, FL, was cited around 10:50 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, for an unlawful drinking charge.
• Chantal Gaston, 19, of 521 Golden Harbour Dr., Boca Raton, FL, was cited around 11:40 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, for an unlawful drinking charge.
• Caroline Kelley, 19, of 110 Sandy Point Ave., Portsmouth, was cited around 10:53 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, for an unlawful drinking charge.
• Cole M. Ratcliff, 20, of 7439 Alexander St., Mount Morris, MI, was cited around 10:57 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, for an unlawful drinking charge.
• Solomon J. Krevans, 20, of 4 South St., Oyster Bay, NY, was cited around 11:19 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, for an unlawful drinking charge.
• John Marshall, 20, of 40 High St., Middletown, was cited around 11:31 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, for an unlawful drinking charge.
