Steven E. "Steve" Ridenour, 62, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at his home in Newport, RI, where he was a resident of fifteen years. Born in Atlantic City, NJ, on April 20, 1951, he was the son of the late Harry and Florence (Angell) Ridenour.
He is survived by his three sisters Elaine (Cannon) Maholland, Diane (Ridenour) Tholin and Carol (Ridenour) Dutton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph Cannon and William Cannon.
A memorial service in his memory will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at 10:00a.m., in the Emmanuel Church, 42 Dearborn Street, Newport.
Steve was known for his sense of humor and by his love of family, friends, fishing and nature. He will be sadly missed.
Burial will be private.
