Harriet Isabel (Bennett) Lemieux, 63, of Newport, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.
Born in Newport, RI, on June 7, 1950, she was the daughter of the late George Albro Bennett and Barbara Joyce (Wood) Dennis.
Harriet was a Rogers High School graduate. She was an avid card and bingo player and loved her scratch tickets. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived her children, Edward Cayton of Ft. Polk, LA, Robert Cayton of Newport, RI, Lisa Hill of Newport, RI, and Debra Lemieux of Newport, RI, her sister, Cynthia Bird of Newport, RI, and her six grandchildren Kirsten Santos, Joshua Cayton, Jacob Cayton, Cassidy Roberts, Jadin Cayton and Bailey Cayton.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, from 4-6p.m., in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, followed by a memorial service at 6p.m. in the funeral home.
Burial services will be private.
