Obituary: Evelyn Amelia Hamilton, Retired Teachers' Aid

Evelyn Amelia Hamilton, of 100 Kay Street, died at 6:30 A.M. on Tuesday Morning, March 25, 2014.

Mrs. Hamilton moved from Los Angeles to Newport in 1996 to care for her daughter Cynthia Hamilton who had been diagnosed with MS. She has been here since then. 

Mrs. Hamilton was a retired teachers' aid, which she had done for 20 years. She worked with children her whole life, she loved children. Mrs. Hamilton’s husband of fifty years, died in Newport in 2004.

She leaves behind a son, Lumas Junior, a make-up artist in Los Angeles and her daughter Cynthia, Retired professor from URI.

There was memorial service for Mrs. Hamilton on Friday, at 2:00 p.m. on March 28th at Community Baptist Church, 50 Dr. Marcus Wheatland Blvd., In Newport.
