Obituary: Andrea Kay Lyons, 64, Hell's Angel, CNA

Andrea Kay Lyons, 64, of Newport, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at home surrounded by her family.

Born in Boston, MA on October 29, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Esther Doucette.

Andrea was raised and lived in California, then moved to Boston where she spent time as a Hell’s Angel for many years. “Ma” moved to Rhode Island in the mid 1990s and met many people in the area while working at the Mall Laundromat. She then went on to work as a CNA in private practice. Ma enjoyed the time she spent at the VFW and the Casinos, playing bingo, doing puzzles, dancing and she was an avid reader. Ma enjoyed nothing more than the time she spent with her family and friends. She enjoyed the simple things in life, and Harvey’s Bristol Crème.

She is survived by her son Robert Willis (Mary) of Newport, RI, daughter Theresa Willis of Tiverton, RI and her daughter Christina Perez (Jesus) of Providence, RI, her brothers Steven Doucette of Raynham, MA, sister Diane Moore of Fall River, MA and her family Mariah and Sebastian, and Jez`Leeah, and her sister Christine Malany of Wayland, MA, her grandchildren, Cortney French, Francisco Willis, Teyahna Heath, Christopher White, Brittany White, Julissa Perez, Samantha Silva, Jesus Silva, Christina Silva, and eight great grandchildren including Naomi Willis and Francesca Collazo. 

She was the sister of the late Dominic Doucette, FRPD.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 3:00-6:00 in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, followed by a service at 6:00PM. Burial will be private.
