Awful interaction with a man who calls himself an officer of the law.

I was at blues cafe last night with a girlfriend of mine, mind you we live in town, and upon making our way to the dance floor near the stage we start to get cattle poked from the elbows of a neighboring group of older women. The man in the group grabs my wrist and takes my beer out of my hand as the bouncer 'Mark' arrives.. Short, stocky, un groomed facial hair.. And pushes me away from the stage leaving my friend to not only be left alone but harassed by these older women as they nearly topple her to the ground AND HE DID NOTHING ABOUT IT! They had their hands on her and myself and he did absolutely nothing but tell us to move!
I am beyond outraged. I go and speak to the head of security, he listens and calls for Mark to come outside. As soon as he walks up it's all attitude and cussing. He is a poor example of what a bouncer should be. He also needs lessons on how to interact with the human race.
After about 5 minutes of him doing nothing but complaining about how annoyed HE is I am pushed aside by the head of security.

Excuse me? This is how you treat paying customers?

Since the staff at Blues wanted to do nothing about this situation I walked over to the Newport Police Departments "finest officer" begin to explain the situation and he LAUGHS in my face, walks away and looks at a MARINE in uniform and says "Someone else want to deal with this crap" and waves his hand at me as if to presume I am a waste of his time. You are a police officer, this is not dress up or play time. Act like you belong in that uniform.

I am beyond amazed at how the turn of events happened. Someone put their hands on myself and my friend and every single chain of men I went to laughed at me like I was nothing, completely belittling me.

I would say he was 5'8, mid to late 30's, dark brown hair, no glasses, medium-slim build, thin nose and apparently likes to play dress up. How are we supposed to feel safe as a city if our own cannot watch out for the safety of the people?

Beyond outraged.
