At the age of seven, Alexander began Cub Scouts while in Germany.  For seven years, he was active in the Trans Atlantic Council of Europe.  Ever since those early days, Alexander has been active in scouting both abroad and in the States. Throughout his Boy Scout career, he served in many leadership positions ranging from Bugler to Senior Patrol Leader. The opportunity of scouting has allowed him to camp in many different countries to include Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and Belgium and learn valuable life lessons about other peoples’ cultures. Whether he is working in the community, the school, the church or in Scouting, Alexander has experienced life changing events that have assisted him in attaining the rank of Eagle.

Alexander Sink will be a junior at Rogers High School in the fall.  He is also active in his school’s sports teams as well as JROTC. He has participated in Varsity Tennis, Varsity Rifle Team, Varsity Drill Team, and Varsity Sailing.  As a Captain of Roger JROTC Drill Team, he was instrumental in developing young cadets by mentoring and instilling discipline in their daily lives.  As the Co-Captain for the High School Rifle Team, Alexander placed 1st place at Rogers and 1st in Second Brigade.  He is the recipient of numerous leadership awards to include the Army’s Superior Cadet Award.

Alexander’s Eagle project included refurbishing historic Equality Park, nestled along Broadway Ave in Newport.  The project included scraping and re-painting the historic cannon and a large anchor which represents the history associated with this park during the American Revolution.  The park was then cleaned, raked, and mulch placed around all the trees.  Finally, the Spanish American Veteran’s memorial in the center of the park was cleaned to remove mold and mildew.
