Register for JDRF Walk to Help Cure Type 1 Diabetes


For
the third year in a row, a team of walkers called "The Islanders" will

be participating in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)
walk on Sunday October 13th in
Providence.  Members of the Islanders team include employees of Newport
Hospital, Aquidneck Medical Center, Newport Endocrinology and the
Visiting Nurse Services of Newport and Bristol Counties and other local
supporters.


JDRF is the leading
global organization funding research to cure Type 1 diabetes, and the
annual walk is one of their main fundraisers.

The walk is a family friendly event and will be  held at Roger Williams

Park at the Temple to Music. The walk is 5K, rain or shine. Registration

is at 9 am and the start is at 10 am. Leashed dogs are permitted, and complimentary healthy refreshments will be provided.
