October Newport Gallery Night & Free Guided Walking Art Tours

With tourist season winding down, visiting local art exhibits and walking freely in downtown Newport is the perfect way to spend an autumn evening in New England!
On Thursday, October 10, 2013, the Newport Galleries Organization will be holding their monthly Newport Gallery Night from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. This upcoming Newport Gallery Night will also be the last walking tour with Rosemary Kavanagh O'Carroll - The Lady Who Paints for the year! 

Beach Studios RI on 146 Aquidneck Ave. in Middletown, R.I. will be hosting a special talk on Newport Gallery Night from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm about how to frame and display artwork in the home. 

Several new exhibits will be on view during October Newport Gallery Night: TheRedwood Library and Athenaeum will have a commemorative exhibition in honor of the Touro Synagogue - Newport, RI’s 250th anniversary located in the Rovensky Delivery Room; Spring Bull Gallery will have an exhibit celebrating the gallery’s 23 years in the Newport art community; and DeBlois Gallery, now located on 134 Aquidneck Ave. in Middletown, R.I., will have an exhibition featuring three talented female artists. 

After visiting any of the participating galleries, museums, and cultural institutions, make a night of it by picking up a restaurant discount coupon and stopping by one of the participating restaurants for a special! Free parking is available at the Gateway Visitors Center and uptown at the Newport Art Museum.
