INTRODUCTION TO 3D DESIGN AND PRINTING

INTRODUCTION TO 3D DESIGN AND PRINTING
Ages 13+ and Adults
FabNewport’s lead instructor and technical director, Nick Logler, will lead students through the basics of 3D Design and Printing.  Students will create objects using OpenScad and TinkerCAD. OpenSCAD requires programming primitives using numbers (not as complicated as it sounds). TinkerCAD is a sculpting software. Both software programs are free. The workshop will whet your appetite, with the fee entitling students to 1 hour of print time on FabNewport’s 3D printer. We have a limited number of Mac computers available for students, so please contact the JAC if you are unable to bring your own laptop (Mac or PC welcome, software is free and can be downloaded). Click here to learn more about 3D Printing! (PreviewSaturday, November 9, 10am - 1pm (1 session)
Fee: $40 (Members $36)
