Post Tells Local Navy SEAL's Heartbreaking Story of PTSD

The Washington Post tells the tragic story of Portsmouth native Robert Guzzo Jr., who died on Nov. 12, 2012.

Robert Bryan Guzzo Jr., 33, was a beloved father, son, Navy SEAL, Portsmouth High School football star and "a ham for the camera," according to a story by The Washington Post's online TV show The Fold. 

The Fold interviews Guzzo's family and friends, who discuss how Guzzo suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after serving in Iraq's "Triangle of Death." 

Guzzo reportedly commited suicide on Nov. 12, in San Diego, CA, after suffering for years from PTSD. According to his family, Guzzo "feared seeking treatment for PTSD would endanger his (military) career."
