Monday: Queen Anne Square Meeting and Book Chat

Here's a look at what's going on around Newport today.

  1. There will be a public meeting to discuss the environmental investigations associated with the redesign of Queen Anne Square at the at 5:30 p.m.
  2. Basic Rights in Special Education will be presented in Spanish tonight at the Library from 6-8 p.m. The workshop will focus on navigating special education as well as the services for children with disabilities.
  3. The will hold a book chat from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Be prepared to talk for about three minutes on a book you are currently reading or have read.
  4. Bilingual story time at the Newport Public Library begins at 3:30 p.m. Stories will be presented in English and in Spanish.
  5. The City of Newport Planning Commission will meet at the Newport Public Library at 5:30 p.m.
