Fortress of Nightmares returns to Fort Adams this Halloween Season

Wander the grounds of Historic Fort Adams seven nights this October and you may encounter more than just one of our Lost Souls. Take the ultimate plunge into our darkest and scariest underground tunnel system on your own, or join on a bona fide paranormal investigation on the surface. Whether you enjoy a physical scare or a physiological scare, Fortress holds something for you. New this year, take aim at zombie targets with airsoft, enjoy some frightful food in our food court, and watch some of the scariest independent films.

For those daring and more adventurous souls, plunge into the heart of darkness within the Tunnels of Terror. While wandering a narrow maze of intricate tunnels in almost complete darkness, you will come face-to-face with the hungry and lost souls of Fort Adams. Purchase tickets for the Tunnels of Terror online and skip the box office lines. VIP tickets are also available on select nights and allow guests priority entry to the event with reduced wait times.

For those craving a more supernatural scare, Fortress Ghost Hunts will explore the Fort’s living quarters and bastions looking for evidence of the paranormal. Fortress Ghost Hunts are 90-Minute long paranormal investigations and guests are invited to bring cameras and their own investigative tools. Please purchase tickets in advance on the Fortress of Nightmares website as space is limited, and tickets will sell out.

Apocalypse Airsoft is a live fire airsoft arena staged with zombie targets; Your choice of a half or full magazine. Sharpen your firing skills to prepare for the invasion. Prefer to watch the horror? Enjoy screenings from all over the world courtesy of Flickers!/The Rhode Island International Horror Film Festival. Screenings will be held hourly from 7-10pm.
